3 kids and a tree

I was particularly excited to help the kids decorate the tree this year. Every kid has their own way of hanging ornaments. Anna placed them in one clump at the bottom, Brooke threw them (literally chucked them) at the tree and Dylan took great care and attention for about three ornaments and then ran around the house asking to "pick me UUUuuPP! Mommm!!!" .. Next year I'll remember to have Baileys in the fridge...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Our Christmas card collection for the past 6 years! :)

We are truly Canadian.

We joined the Burlington Skating Club. The rink is literally a 2 minute walk from our house- because we live in Canada there is one on every block. So Dylan had her first skate ever. She was totally in to it. She pounded it out for a whole hour. By the end she could stand up straight. I, however, could not.

How much more Canadian can you get?????

Playing in the leaves.

Here's the deal. Chris HATES raking and shoveling. So, we have a leaf blower. In fact, I bet I could rake faster than he can blow the leafs in to a pile because he can't leave one behind. We had many leaf blowing parties this year... cuz in Ontario, the leafs are HUGE and they're dry. Not wet and frozen like in Calgary. We have a very large maple tree in our front yard and it took a couple of months for the tree to completely shed it's leafs. (is it "leafs" or "leaves")??!! On this particular day, we had a very large pile to jump in. We learned that Dylan wasn't really in to it. She can't stand to be dirty..

He blew the leafs out of the girls' hair.. and shoes.....

Family.

We (the Wilson's) are thrilled to live so close to "home".. in fact, we have been going "home" for every event. The past post was of cousin Barb's wedding.. and with that were a lot of gatherings. This one in particular had many cousins and Aunt/Uncles over post wedding. In fact, the mother of the bride, Aunt Jeanie came for a morning after visit. She had to go home for a nap and then come back for dinner.. She's a trooper.

My mom and Aunt Jean. She's tired... or annoyed with all my photo snapping
