"the greatest weekend of the year"

Apparently the weekend that Chris' birthday, father's day, and the Masters makes for Chris' ultimate weekend extravaganza. It's the hardest weekend for me- trying to organize birthday and fathers day gifts and food and what nots. Here are some pictures of last weekend. I have recovered.

Birthday present opening .. after Chris played 18 holes.

Getting ready to walk down and feed the fish at the pond.

The next morning (fathers day).. we went to the river for breakfast. Shepard tradition.

Me and my Dad!!!

Dylan chillin with cousin Garrett.

Hangin with cousin Kait.

The whole gang! Sans Scott, Cheryl, Sarah and Aaron.. booo!!!

Fresh eggs. NEXT DOOR!

My parents live next to the most perfect kind of neighbors... they have hens that lay eggs and they grow gorgeous shitake mushrooms. We took a walk over there so the girls could get a lesson in egg collecting. I was the only brave one to stick my hand under a hen to steal her eggs. She pecked me. Twice. I'd peck me too.

TOURIST ALERT!!!!

Last-Calgary-Family-Dinner

As with any move, the food in the fridge dwindles down to nothing.. so we took the girls to one of our favorite restaurants on our last night in town. They got their first taste of greek food and even did a little greek dancing!

On the road.. but first these..

We can't say enough about how lucky we are to have such great friends (more like family) in Calgary. We had many "send offs" and were showered with compliments about our times together and our new adventures ahead. We are grateful to have the opportunity to live where we want and we hope we can find more amazing friends in our new city (TBD!). In the meantime, our life is all bundled up in a toyota sienna mini van.. somewhere between Fargo, ND and Chicago IL and we aren't too upset about that!

...of course, this doesn't include everyone....I am limited to Chris' computer for now...
