The latest...
My iPhoto is so full that it won't let me load new photos- hence, no new posts.. So I thought I'd update you with what's been going on with US!!
It's all so exciting really. Chris and me have been on a roller coaster with this house sale - to say the least-
In October of 2010 we got an offer on our house. The condition was we had to be out of here in 2 weeks?!! We said no. So- we continued to have showings for the next two months until the neighbors brought their friends over to see the place. They loved it- so- the house went conditionally sold on Dec. 17, 2010. The condition being that the buyers had to sell their house to buy ours. At this point, we were tired with showing our home- with three kids and all- this is very difficult. So- we took it off the market and waited and waited for the other house to sell. The house never sold.
The buyers suggested we put our house back on the market. So we did... and the flood of people came to see it. All bargain shoppers, I swear! We had 3 offers come in and out. DENIED!
Finally- one family came back after disappearing from their first negotiations on the house and put another offer on the table. We went back and forth and in the end, it came down to negotiating our movie projector (gawd!). We are keeping that baby and it all worked out in the end.
This week we have a real property report-and then we wait for financing and home inspection (gah!) conditions to lift. I figure we'll be knowing our destiny by Friday, May 13 (omg! Friday, the 13th)??!! Do you know how hard it is to NOT start packing???
Did I mention that possession is June 10? After the papers are signed on Friday- that gives us 3 1/2 weeks! We have a list a mile long- Not to mention a lot of goodbyes.
